Vent Shaft Ridge

So called because on the lower slopes there is a building that houses the ventilation system for the Connaught Railway Tunnel which passes underneath. It's very odd to be skiing through the dense forest and then come across this huge structure. It looks like the bad guy's evil lair from a James Bond flick. The upper part of the ridge is wide open and made for some awesome skiing. Best of the season for us. The lower part is heavily treed but somehow we kept linking openings most of the way down and that too made for fun skiing. We returned along the old railway grade which was really pleasant.
