McGill Gun Barrels and Christiana Trees

A tour in the Bostock area. First up McGill shoulder with a descent down the Gun Barrels to valley bottom. From there up Christiana Trees to the Fidelity boundary for another run back down to the valley bottom. In the end it was a 2000 meter day. That's a lot for us. No ski pics. But there were rabbit tracks all over the place. Cat food.

Christiana Trees

One of the few destinations in Rogers Pass that isn't actually an avalanche path and that doesn't require crossing avalanche terrain to access. Lots of people but lots of space too. Fabulous skiing. Got the camera out to shoot some slightly lame video...

NRC

A nice day of mellow skiing at NRC.

Cougar

Another trip into the Cougar Valley. Quiet. Warmer than -20C! Heavenly. Good skiing. The surface hoar layers buried back in December are definitely becoming more reactive. We've been waiting for them to "wake up" and reports this week seem to confirm that they're becoming an issue.
